Darin Selnick is an independent consultant who provides a variety of services to organizations in the areas of government and community relations, business development, management and performance improvement. Advisor to the GI Film Festival, a 501 c(3) non-profit educational organization.
From 2001-2009, Mr. Selnick was an appointee in the Bush Administration at the Department of Veterans Affairs. From 2004-2009 he served as the Director of the Center for Faith-Based and Community Initiatives. In this role he was responsible for the management and operations of the Center and was the VA liaison to the White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives. From 2001-2004 he served as Special Assistant to the Secretary and Associate Dean, VA Learning University. In this role he was responsible for providing program and operational oversight of VA Learning University.
From 1999-2001, Mr. Selnick was the Director of Training and a member of the Executive Committee for Lindora Medical Clinics. In this role, he was responsible for all company training and development.
From 1993-1997, Mr. Selnick joined FHP International where he joined the corporate FHP University staff and became Manager, Health Care Delivery/University Administration and a Senior Consultant. From 1997-1999, Mr. Selnick was Manager, Corporate Training, Education and Development for PacifiCare Health Systems. He left PacifiCare Health Systems in 1999 to join Lindora Medical Clinics.
Mr. Selnick is an Air Force veteran who served on active duty from 1985-1992 and attained the rank of Captain. As an Education and Training officer, he was in charge of various Air Force education and training programs, and assigned to Air Training Command and Space Command. His final assignment in 1992 was as Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies at California State University, Long Beach.
Mr. Selnick has been very active in veteran’s issues and joined the Jewish War Veterans in 1994. Since that time he has taken various leadership positions and is the Past Commander of Post 760, Past Commander of the South Coast District Council and the Past Department Commander of the Department of California. Mr. Selnick also represented the Department of California on the California State Commanders Veterans Council, and was the chairman for 2000-2001. At the national level Mr. Selnick is a member of the National Executive Committee. Darin is also a member of the American Legion, Air Force Association and National Association of Uniformed Services.
